Mixture of the Orient and modernity. The largest market in Macedonia has all the markings of an Asian market, with stands full of silk, cotton, and satin in all possible colors; at the same time, one may find cheap clothes made of synthetic material. The market is located near the Old Bazaar, just below the medieval fortress. Here, you can taste the relaxing Turkish tea that has been drunk in the Balkans since the arrival of the Ottomans; you can also drink espresso with the same quality as the espresso that is being made in the cafes in Rome or New York. Market that offers to the customers everything you can imagine: fruits and vegetables, clothing and footwear, school supplies and old books, as well as computer accessories, tools and car parts.
